Residents of Hulste not happy about exchange decree: “From a view of fields to a company”
Angelique’s family still looks out over the fields in Hulste, part of Harelbeke. But the owner of a textile company a little further away has asked the city council to expand his piece. Actually, that’s not possible, but Harelbeke makes use of an amendment to the decree that allows exchange, elsewhere agricultural land is added.
A 9000 mĀ² piece of agricultural land in Brugsestraat would make way for a company. The piece of industrial land where the company was demolished in Kervijnstraat will then become agricultural land.
