Many local residents of the Rembrandt gallery in Roosendaal woke up around Halfvier on Monday night with a loud bang. It was the sixth attack in two months on Grillroom Sofram. In the meantime, the neighborhood no longer looks at it: “get used to it”.

Black -waxed sidewalk tiles and jumped windows are the visible traces of the umpteenth attack on Grillroom Sofram. A Turkish supermarket entrepreneur who drinks a cup of coffee two doors further outside on a stool, shakes his head and does not understand it: “No idea, it’s a good boy, not a bad person. Maybe people are jealous or something, but I don’t know.”

At the laundry opposite the grillroom, a woman reacts to fold the laundry indignantly. “Everything is possible in the Netherlands. I was also shocked by that hard bang last night.” She doesn’t want to say more about it. Passers -by walking past the damaged grill room are also stripped: “Scandalous that this is possible” is a common reaction. But strikingly there is also resignation. Because in the meantime the people from the neighborhood don’t look up anymore.

A man who comes for a moment already knew the owner of the Grillroom as a little boy. “It is a hard -working boy who is always ready for everyone. Last night at half past three I heard a loud bang and saw the fire brigade. I thought, not again. I really don’t know where it comes from,” he says.

In the course of the morning the owner of the Grillroom will take the damage. He is left with his lawyer. For the time being he doesn’t want to say anything about it yet.

Mayor Buijs van Roosendaal is on vacation and cannot respond to the umpteenth attack, says a spokesperson for the municipality.
