The Gooi and Vechtstreek region wants to purchase part of the site, so that waste service can move gad here. The plan is that the headquarters of regional transport, the GAD office, a draw and a transfer hall must be available.
But the plans encounter resistance among local residents, who are afraid of extra traffic, noise and smell. Moreover, they do not feel well involved in the plans.
Action group requires involvement
According to the action group, the region draws its own plan completely, without taking into account the interests of local residents.
“To this day, we have not heard one valid argument from the region and the municipality why the GAD should be on this place and what the benefits are for our municipality or the local residents,” said Lisette Spork on behalf of the action group during the committee meeting.
