This concerns the Kamerlingh Onneslaan, a road that turns exactly 50 meters from the Schipholweg. Remove that bend and you have an extra connection to the village that is located exactly between the other access roads. “You can also run bus routes over that, which that part of the village is currently missing,” Baltus adds.
But it is not that easy, says councilor Marja Ruigrok of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. “We see that the extension of the Kamerlingh Onneslaan is not so much necessary, but mainly a wish from the residents. Moreover, we have already tried this once, and it was rejected by the Council of State. Local residents had then objected.”
