A resident of Gasselternijveenschemond had to hand in his driver’s license yesterday, because he drove 171 kilometers per hour where 80 is allowed.
The police clocked the speed of the 33-year-old man on the Ingenieur WIC van Veelenweg (the N378) near Gasselte. In the event of a speeding violation of 50 kilometers or more, the driver’s license will be withdrawn.
