Research: Rich citizens in particular benefit the least from energy compensation and lowest incomes

The tax cuts on fuel and energy are especially beneficial for wealthy households. This is apparent from calculations by research platform Investico for Trouw and De Groene Amsterdammer. The cabinet pays this compensation because of the sharp rise in energy prices as a result of the war in Ukraine.
