Report: Nigeria needs 12 billion dollars to clean up oil from Shell and Eni, among others

Nigeria needs 12 billion dollars (more than 11 billion euros) to clean up the oil pollution that has accumulated over decades in the southern state of Bayelsa over a period of twelve years. That’s according to a new report from the Bayelsa State Oil and Environmental Commission. According to the report, Shell and Italy’s Eni are responsible for most of the pollution.
