Man: “Suggests something”
After Hanover signed Nicolo Tresoldi, the second-youngest player in this millennium, to a long-term professional contract at the weekend, the commitment of another player for the offensive has apparently been shelved. This is reported by thepicture“-Newspaper at the beginning of the week, according to which the Lower Saxony want to give the 18-year-old homegrown further room for its development.

Tresoldi was given 65 minutes by coach Stefan Leitl in the Reds’ 4-0 win at 1. FC Magdeburg and impressed with a strong performance. “Nico brought to the pitch what we hoped for from him,” praised the coach afterwards. “He was sharp and disciplined in the approach.” Leitl had already given Tresoldi 23 minutes of playing time in attack in the home win against Regensburg. After his substitution, Antonio Foti paved the way for victory with his goal in the 83rd minute.
Born in Cagliari, Italy, center forward Tresoldi has long enjoyed a reputation as a top talent far beyond the borders of Hanover. In order to further develop this in the Lower Saxony state capital, 96 could now do without the much-discussed possible improvement on the offensive. “There are some indications,” quotes the “Bild” sports director Marcus Mann. One knows about Tresoldi’s quality, “he should get as much playing time as possible. (…) It is well known that we think very, very highly of Nico.”
Hannover signed eleven new players in the summer so far, including Havard Nielsen from Fürth for the center of attack (overview). After the departure of Lukas Hinterseer to league rival Hansa Rostock, Leitl Stand now has five regular center forwards in attack (TM database: The Hanover squad by position).
