Report: Haaland mad at BVB legend

The fact that Erling Haaland is leaving Borussia Dortmund for Manchester City has been officially confirmed since Tuesday – and it was no surprise for BVB fans. Apparently, “dissonances” also led to the separation.

85 goals in 88 competitive games for BVB: Before he gets the opportunity to say goodbye to Dortmund with more goals at the weekend against Hertha BSC (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.), it is already clear that Erling Haaland has spent two and a half wonderful years in the Ruhr area .

Away from the sporty, the “picture“, however, not all sunshine and vain prevailed.

Haaland should not be on good terms with club legend Norbert Dickel in particular: According to this, the Norwegian even complained “in several places” about the former BVB goalscorer and cult stadium announcer.

However, the reason for the supposed annoyance seems rather childish. Dickel let the audience celebrate the 21-year-old’s goals for a long time with a triple “Erling”, followed by a triple “Haaland”, but recently limited himself to a simple “Erling” after BVB fans were no longer quite as a result of the months of rumors of farewell reacted so euphorically to the goalscorer. A circumstance that Haaland is said to have encountered according to the report.

BVB icon Dickel raves about Haaland

Statements by Dickel from December 2021, on the other hand, give no indication of an upset. “Erling is a young, hungry, incredibly fast and incredibly ambitious footballer. He gets up in the morning and wants to score a goal. The lads are simply cut from a different cloth. And then there’s the robustness of a Norwegian oak tree – sensational,” Dickel enthused at the time in the podcast “sprengerspeaking #media&sports”.

Haaland gives the impression “that he is very grounded. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that he stays the way he is,” Dickel continued.

According to the “Bild” report, one may question whether the former attacker would choose these words again.
