The lingerie supplier Mey GmbH & Co. KG has further expanded its retail network. At the end of October, the Albstadt-based company opened a new store in Meran and now has 24 of its own stores. In the second largest city in South Tyrol, Mey now offers its range of underwear and loungewear on an area of almost 55 square meters.
Managing Director Matthias Mey explained the choice of location: “The opening of our own store in Meran is an important step for us in the direction of expanding the Italian market,” he explained in a statement published on Tuesday. “South Tyrol, with its sensational and legendary landscape, characterized by the contrast between alpine features and Mediterranean wine landscapes, is a popular holiday home for many of our customers. The country and the mentality of the people fit in particularly well with the values of Mey and I am therefore particularly pleased to be opening the first store in this region.”
