Rent reduction for low incomes and extra resources for insulation homes

The cabinet wants to provide extra support for people who are most in financial difficulties due to the rapidly rising costs in their housing costs. From July 2023, tenants with a low income in a housing association will receive a rent reduction of an average of € 57 per month. Furthermore, from 1 January 2023, the rent allowance will increase by approximately €17 per month. To help households limit their energy bills, an additional €300 million will be made available for the insulation of homes.
