Renfro Brands becomes a licensing partner for socks

Footwear and apparel brand Wolverine introduced a new licensing partner on Tuesday. In the future, the label’s socks will be manufactured by the US legwear specialist Renfro Brands.

According to the company, the partnership begins on January 1st. The first Wolverine socks produced under license by Renfro Brands are scheduled to come onto the market in the same month and be sold in US retailers.

The decision to work with the traditional company Renfro, which was founded in 1921, underlines the special importance of the sock category for the brand and should help “to better meet the needs of trading partners and customers,” explained Tom Kennedy, who runs the label Wolverine and the Work division of parent company Wolverine World Wide Inc. as President.
