René le Blanc is doing everything he can to become a big star in Germany this year, but what about his career in his own country? “I will never abandon the Netherlands,” he says.

More camp you will hardly find them other than René le Blanc. He thinks he is a huge superstar, but in reality he is the laughing stock of the artist world. And now he is expressing his plans for 2025: he is preparing for a huge breakthrough in Germany, where many more people live and where a lot of money can therefore be made.

Not abandoned

René can already see it all in his mind. “I have my sights set on Germany. I just want to do the trick one more time that I did in the Netherlands: become very famous from scratch,” he says in the Party.

The German schlager singer Peter Orloff approached him at some Austrian awards party, according to René. “He came to me there. “René, I see commercial potential in you,” he said. But I have certainly not forgotten the Netherlands and I will not abandon it.”

Find your way

Once René is a superstar in Germany, he also wants to take on odd jobs in the Netherlands, so as not to lose the bond with our country. “Yes, I want to try to make a combination between the Netherlands and Germany. If I can find a way around that, I will be very happy.”

By the way, he has no plans to move from Nijmegen. “No. In Germany the performances are different than in the Netherlands. For example, you go to Germany for ten days and then you do six shows in the same region and then you go home again. They make a kind of tour planning there.”

Jeroen and René

Finally: does René really think he is an A-star in the Netherlands? It seems so. He also has contact with other A-stars, he says. “I have known him for many years, but I got to know him really well in 2023 through The Great Sinterklaas Film And The Battle For Suit Evening, in which we both played a role.”

“If there are any questions, I can call or text René. There is also app traffic with Jeroen van der Boom and I think that is very special.”
