Nottingham Forest’s 18th transfer this summer is set. The Premier League promoted team announced the loan of left-back Renan Lodi on Monday. The 24-year-old comes for a season from Atlético Madrid, where he previously extended until 2026. Noisy Fabrizio Romano a loan fee of 5 million euros will be due for the 15-time Brazilian national player, and the “Tricky Trees” are said to have secured a purchase option of 30 million euros.
The “Colchoneros” had signed Lodi from his home country for 21.75 million euros in 2019, since then he has played 118 games for the capital city. Valued at EUR 4 million when he switched, the left-footed player has meanwhile increased his market value to EUR 50 million. He’s currently worth €30m, making him the most valuable professional in Nottingham’s squad. For Forest it is the second loan deal in this transfer period, so far the club has spent a good 157 million euros on new staff – which only one club in the world surpasses.

Reguilón joined Spurs from Real Madrid in 2020 for €30m and made 36 appearances for the Premier League club last season. Now he is apparently drawn back to his homeland and his birthplace, but not to his former training club Real, but to the city rivals.
