Wiesbaden does not go beyond a draw in the third division. At the end of the first round it was high, in the second half the Hesse deserved the lead. But the setback came shortly before the end.
SV Wehen Wiesbaden played undecided in the third division against Waldhof Mannheim on Saturday. In the end it was 2: 2 (1: 1). Nick Bätzner scored the first goal for the SVWW in the 44th minute, but Felix Lohkemper equalized in the added time of the first round (45.+3). Ryan Johansson was then responsible for the 2-1 (73.), but Sascha Voelcke marked the 2-2 for the guests (86th).
In a first round with a lot of scanning, it was particularly important to the final phase. After the change of sides, the Wiesbadeners were right in the way that Moritz Flotho almost took the lead (49th). The efforts then gilded Johansson. The wing player skillfully circulated a ball from a distance. The Mannheimers now threw everything forward. Four minutes before the end, Voelcke finished ice cold after a cross.
On the cup fright
After the two lead, labor should have taken the threesome home. However, Mannheim stabbed twice at the right time, but in the end the division of points was deserved. Special: Ex-coach Makus Kauczinski was also a guest in the stadium.
The SVWW is now in tenth place, Mannheim continues with two points ahead of the grain, but can still be surpassed. The Hesse will play at the DFB Cup finalist Arminia Bielefeld in the coming week on Tuesday.
