Hundreds of enthusiasts of ‘the old stuff’ visited the North Holland Vintage Car Festival in Venhuizen during Easter. Classic vehicles were displayed in ten different sheds and products from ancient times were on display. In addition, the feet could get off the floor accompanied by nostalgic music.
84-year-old Harry sits breathlessly looking at miniatures with his wife. They have already seen quite a few cars. “That reminds me of the old days, that old stuff,” he says. “For example, that army GMC. I used to drive it. I was 14 or 15 years old then.”
Gerard proudly shows his bright red Corvette C3 to interested parties. “I came across one before and I thought it was so beautiful, it has never left my mind.” After years of saving, his dream has become reality. And even with the high gas prices, he continues to drive it. “That’s just part of it.”
