Remembering 10 paratroopers who died in Rwanda in 1994

252 Belgian soldiers have died in peacetime since the Second World War. Those soldiers are commemorated every year on April 7. More than 50 people gathered this morning at the monument to the war victims next to the large church in Ostend. They also paid tribute to the 10 paratroopers who died during the genocide in Rwanda in 1994.
