Our representative Samsunspor drew 2-2 away with the Icelandic team Breidablik in the 4th week of the UEFA Conference League. After the match, Samsunspor Coach Thomas Reis made a statement.
HERE ARE THE WORDS OF THE REIS:
I didn’t look at the points rankings, but we are in a good position and we have to maintain it. I said it would be a difficult match. We had a very long trip. It’s not an excuse, but we need to be able to overcome such matches. On the other hand, we are trying to play with a narrow squad. We got 10 points, not bad. We will play the next match against AEK at home. We have some dreams. It is necessary to evaluate the opportunities for these dreams. If you cannot evaluate it, you will have problems.
If you had said 1 point from the match, I would definitely not have accepted it. When we look at our performance from the beginning to the end of the match, unfortunately we were not aggressive enough and we conceded simple goals. The second goal we conceded was not normal. That’s why we lost points. After all, we are happy with 1 point. There are things we need to take as positives. “This performance was not our best.”
