Former Golden Earring drummer César Zuiderwijk was a guest at Today Inside on Friday evening. The program discusses his biography Cesar: the story of a drummer and an excerpt from the program The tribute: battle of the bands. When the men talk about former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and his performance at the Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo, Zuiderwijk has a special anecdote for which he needs Johan Derksen. Zuiderwijk was the drummer for Golden Earring from 1970 to 2021. The band stopped because guitarist George Kooymans was diagnosed with ALS and died in July of this year.
