As table 11th. is located HSV after 22 games in the solid midfield of the Bundesliga. The “Rothosen” are six points ahead of relegation place 16 (St. Pauli) and even seven points ahead of place 17 (Werder Bremen). The supercomputer of the statistics provider Opta now predicts that HSV will no longer have anything to do with the relegation battle.
The data was prepared by the portal “90min.de”. HSV therefore only has a 1.2 percent chance of slipping into one of the two direct relegation places. Even for relegation, the Opta AI only sees a 2.7 percent chance. According to the calculation, HSV ended up in 11th place.
On the other hand, two other clubs from the north have to tremble: According to Opta-KI, Wolfsburg is being relegated from the Bundesliga alongside Heidenheim. St. Pauli would still have the chance to save themselves from relegation against the third team in the second division.

After four defeats in a row, the Bundesliga relegated team is only two points away from a direct relegation spot to the 3rd league.
For Tim Walter, who was last employed at Hull City (England) from July to November 2024, this is the second term in office on the Fjord: in 2018/19 he led KSV Holstein to 6th place in the 2nd Bundesliga. According to media reports, his new contract will run until the end of the season.
The Hamburger SV has extended an important contract. Sebastian Dirscherl, head of the scouting department, will remain with the Hanseatic League. “We are very pleased to continue to fill this key position with high quality and continuity,” said HSV board member Eric Huwer in a club statement.
