Regionalliga West: Coach Sascha Hildmann extended at Prussia Münster

Leader of the Regionalliga West

Important signal in the fight for promotion: Preußen Münster can continue to rely on coach Sascha Hildmann in the future. The leaders of the Regionalliga West announced on Sunday the extension of the contract with the 50-year-old, whose contract originally would have expired at the end of the season. Assistant Louis Cordes and goalkeeping coach Carsten Nulle also signed new, non-league working papers.

“I’m really happy that our work here isn’t over yet and that the path we have taken together will be continued. I said it then and I’ll say it even more clearly now: It’s just exactly what I’ve always wanted here. Working in this club and with this team is a lot of fun for me and us. Now, at the end of the season, we will do everything we can to reward ourselves and our great fans for this season,” said Hildmann.

Two games before the end of the season, Preussen Münster has promotion to the 3rd division in their own hands. With 83 points from 36 games, the “Adler” are two points ahead of their pursuers Rot-Weiss Essen. Hildmann has been in office at Prussia since December 2019 and remained so even after being relegated to the third division in summer 2020. In 103 matches so far he has scored an average of 2.03 points per game with the Munsters.
