The transfer market database is enriched by another milestone. The 1965/66 season of the Regionalliga Südwest is completely integrated. In that season, the FK Pirmasens (41:19 points) was at the top, followed by 1. FC Saarbrücken (40:20) as well as the 1st FSV Mainz 05 (38:22) and TuS Neuendorf (also 38:22), today TuS Koblenz.

Pirmasens and Saarbrücken qualified for the promotion rounds to the Bundesliga, but both failed in their groups and had to compete in the regional league again in the 1966/67 season. While FK Pirmasens had a wafer thin over the same point from the same point from Düsseldorf, the FCS third in his group, in which red-white food prevailed.

At that time, the Saarbrücker Emil Poklitar became the top scorer with 30 goals, which also contributed nine goals in the promotion games. It is also particularly noteworthy that SV Alsenborn was promoted and held the class that the German football legend Fritz Walter supported as a consultant. With coach Otto Render and other players, the latter brought former Fckler to the SVA, who was located near Walter’s place of residence in Kaiserslautern, and had big plans with the association.
