Regensburg climbs to the top

Second division relegated Jahn Regensburg has temporarily jumped to the top of the table in the 3rd football league. Joe Enochs’ team won 2-1 (2-0) against VfB Lübeck in the Jahnstadion.

The goals in Regensburg’s fourth win in a row were scored by Dominik Kother (41′) and Oscar Schönfelder (45’+3), the VfB goal was scored by Robin Velasco (46′). With Louis Breunig (70th/yellow-red card) and Leon Sommer (79th/emergency brake), a player on both sides was thrown off the pitch.

Viktoria Köln and Erzgebirge Aue are currently maintaining contact with the promotion places. The teams separated 2:2 (0:0) and are in fourth and fifth place.

Thanks to goals from Marvin Stefaniak (70th) and Tim Danhof (75th), Aue turned the game around in which Cologne had taken the lead through Luca Marseiler (46th). But Andre Becker equalized in stoppage time (90+3).

SC Verl and SC Ingolstadt also played 2:2 (2:1). The Verl goals were scored by Lars Lokotsch (2nd) and Michel Stöcker (20th), Benjamin Kanuric (23rd) and Jannik Mause (75th) scored for the visitors.

SpVgg Unterhaching and SV Sandhausen drew 0-0 and are both tied with 15 points in the secured midfield.
