The athletes of Ratina Stadium shouted Reetta Hurskeen name before the women’s 100-meter fencing final on Wednesday at the Tampere GP.

– It’s pretty great to have some kind of Stara here. It may have been a kind of dream. There are quite a lot of athletes in Tampere, but at least in the field of athletics I want to be a role model, Hurske comments.

The audience voted the most popular athlete in the event of the Tampere Pyrinnito shelter. A ton of checks popped out of it. Hurske acknowledged the corresponding prize a week ago at the Lahti GP race.

– It came at a good time, although there is obviously still a bit of a departure. This worked as a good race and above all as a workout. Not able to take bets within the race season, Hurske, who clocked a winning time of 12.93, said.

The start of a runner known as a good starter was again slow: the reaction time was 0.186 seconds.

Tough races

Hard results were run in the Golde Spike race in Ostrava on Tuesday. Polish Pia Skrzyszowska, 21, hurried to his own record of 12.65 and was second in the race. Hungary Luca Cossack ranked seventh at the best of the season at 12.89.

The number one on Tuesday was Puerto Rico Jasmine Camacho-Quinn (12.56).

– There are the same girls coming to the line on Sunday. It’s hard going in Europe and the world, but it wasn’t a surprise. I have already won Kozák once this season. I don’t think I have more difficulty running times like that.

Poland should be promising the heat that sprinters so desperately need.

– The musculature works better when warm. Here in Tampere it was chilly and cold. I think Poland is getting better.

Hurske’s goal this season is to improve his own record (12.78).

– If you can’t compete, you haven’t trained enough. I train for competitions. I’m looking for success in competitions.
