Online platform Reddit has taken legal action against Australia’s ban on social media for children under the age of 16, which came into effect this week. The company is applying the legislation for the time being, but says the rules “have the unfortunate effect of now forcing both adults and minors into intrusive and potentially unsafe verifications.”
