Red Hot Chili Peppers in Mannheim: Tickets, directions, parking, weather, support

If you haven’t seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers live yet, you can do so on June 26th. Because then Anthony Kiedis and his California Kings will come to Mannheim. The band continues their world tour on the premises of Mannheim’s Maimarkt and they have a special guest with them as reinforcement: rock veteran Iggy Pop.

With RETURN OF THE DREAM CANTEEN and UNLIMITED LOVE, RHCP released two new albums last year – and like almost all of their predecessors, these too rocketed to the top of the charts. In addition to the new works, they will also present numerous classics from their 40-year career. The concert in Mannheim is the only Germany date in the course of their current tour. Next stop is Lyon on July 11th. Afterwards we will continue to Vienna on July 14th.

Admission begins at 4.30 p.m., the program starts at around 6.30 p.m. with support act Iggy Pop. The Red Hot Chili Peppers play from approximately 8:45 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Mannheim are over ticketmaster available. Admission prices start at just under 60 euros for one of the rear standing places. If you want to be further ahead, you can secure a place in the so-called “Golden Circle 2” for 96 euros. Tickets for the front rows, in “Golden Circle 1”, cost 139.25 euros. The cheaper Early Bird tickets are already completely sold out.

Arrival by car

The Maimarkt site is right next to the A 656 motorway. The area has its own exit (Maimarkt site) just before the Mannheimer Kreuz, right on the A6 / A656. From there it is only two minutes to the concert location. There is plenty of parking space.

Parking lots P1-3 and the large parking lot P20 are located directly on the motorway. There are also disabled parking spaces. Others can be found to the right of the main entrance. You can park here free of charge with an AG ID card (extraordinary disability).

Due to the Federal Horticultural Show in Mannheim, some of the park operators have raised the prices to 9.50 euros. The organizers therefore recommend using public transport.

Arrival by public transport

If you are arriving from Mannheim main station, it is best to use tram line 5 & bus 50 (direction Heidelberg from Mannheim main station to the Neuostheim stop, change to bus line 50 in the direction of Neckerau West to the Maimarkt stop, directly in front of the event site), tram line 6 (direction Neuhermsheim/SAP Arena). S-Bahn station from Tattersall stop – near Mannheim main station – to Maimarkt stop) or the S-Bahn line S1 (direction Osterburken, S2 direction Mosbach, S4 direction Karlsruhe from Mannheim main station to Arena/Maimarkt (DB), with 18 minutes walk) .

Weather

The concert on June 26th will take place in the open air. And it’s getting hot. Temperatures of up to 34 degrees and lots of sun will ensure the ideal open-air weather. It’s not supposed to rain that day. With plenty of sunscreen and enough to drink, nothing stands in the way of the perfect summer concert with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Even at night it stays pleasantly warm in Mannheim, with an expected temperature of 22 degrees.
