Priscilla Presley is back in public: almost two months after the death of her daughter Lisa Marie (January 12), she appeared on the red carpet in Los Angeles for the special screening and premiere of the Netflix animated series “Agent Elvis”. She also took a seat in the panel discussion that followed the event.
“Agent Elvis” and why Matthew McConaughey gets to voice the King
In the new animated series from John Eddie and Priscilla Presley, Elvis (voiced by Matthew McConaughey) fights against dark forces as a secret agent. Meanwhile, he continues at his day job as the King Of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Priscilla Presley herself cast McConaughey to play her late husband, according to People magazine. In the talk show of the series premiere, she cites his voice as the reason for this: “Obviously he has a great voice. That southern voice. So did Elvis in many ways.”
