TSV Abensberg is German men’s judo team champion for the 23rd time. The defending champion and record champion beat the Hamburg judo team 9-5 on Saturday evening in the Wandsbek sports hall in Hamburg.
After a balanced first round, TSV pulled away in round two of the Bundesliga final and, after 2019 and 2021, secured their third title in four years.
In the semi-finals, the four-time champion Hamburg eliminated the Judo-Club Leipzig 10:4, Abensberg also defeated the Witten-Annen sports union 10:4.
