One of the two teenagers who tried to steal hundreds of euros worth of records from music store Sounds Tilburg on Saturday has been recognized by her mother. The record store posted a photo of the young duo online. The mother doesn’t just let her child get away with it.
“Is this you?”, the mother sent the photo to her child. She recognized her teenager in a blurred photo of music store Sounds Tilburg, where two young people tried to take a stack of LPs and a CD on Saturday afternoon. They were confronted by an employee who had seen them in the business before. “I had already lost something then,” he said. After much hesitation, one of them opened his bag. It contained eleven records and one CD.

After the confrontation, the duo was allowed to leave. But not before a record store employee took a photo of the two and posted it on the internet. “Assholes,” he writes. “Don’t try us.”
At first the teenagers were recognizable in the photo, then they were blurred out. “But even with that blurring I could see that it was my child,” the mother responded to Omroep Brabant. She prefers to remain anonymous.

“At first they denied it, but then it turned out that they had done this before,” she says. She is very disappointed with the situation. “So we’ll just go to the police,” she sighed on Saturday.
Fortunately for the teenagers in question, it all ended without a hitch, because the store let the two go. “The officer indicated that it is over. So we are going to contact the store to resolve the matter,” says the mother. In the hope that her child has learned a lesson after this.
