Record number of deleted rides at De Lijn: also one in five buses runs too late

De Lijn had to delete a record number of journeys in 2024. In total it involved 244,000 bus and tram rides, an increase of 13.5 percent compared to the previous year. This is according to figures that Flemish MP Amina Vandenheuvel (PvdA) requested from Flemish Mobility Minister Annick de Ridder (N-VA). The left -wing opposition party requires urgent investments in personnel and infrastructure, but the causes of the problems are more complex.
