The personnel situation in FC Bayern’s defense is becoming increasingly precarious. Now, however, a former Schalke back could go into the focus of the Munich back.

Planning at FC Bayern is progressing for the new season – and at the latest after the Festival Farewell to Eric Dier, the focus of the Munich direction will have shifted.

This is exactly what a message from the “Sport Bild” from Thursday evening fits: According to this, Malick Thiaw from the Italian top club AC Milan is in the sights of the German record champion in order to be able to report a well -known reinforcement for the defensive.

According to Podcast “Bavaria Insider” the “Sport Bild”, Thiaw feels comfortable in Milan, but with a serious offer from the Bundesliga – especially from Bavaria – a little can move. Bayer Leverkusen has already already shown interest.

Thiaw moved from Schalke to Italy in 2022. The native of Düsseldorf previously went through stations at Fortuna, Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach before making the leap to the professionals at S04 and won the second division championship in 2022. In Milan, he played 30 competitive games this season, scored a goal and won the Italian super cup with the “Rossoneri”.

Thiaw’s contract in Milan runs until 2027. However, the central defender could change for a transfer in the range of 25 to 30 million euros, it was said from “Sport Bild”.

Thiaw, who has played three A-international matches so far and became the European U21 European champion in 2021, continues to pursue the goal of establishing itself permanently in the DFB selection squad. A move to a top club like Bayern Munich could help him.
