The “Royal” prevail against Juventus Turin, an old friend from the Bundesliga decides the game. Meanwhile, another big club is going under – and in Lisbon there is a strange expulsion.

Real Madrid continued their winning streak in the Champions League and warmed up for the Clásico with another win. Coach Xabi Alonso’s team defeated Juventus Turin 1-0 (0-0) and thus secured themselves in the top group of the league phase. Jude Bellingham (58th minute) scored the decisive goal and thus ensured optimal preparation for the top game on Sunday against FC Barcelona in the Spanish league.

Chelsea FC had a much easier time than Real, defeating Ajax Amsterdam 5-1 (4-1) in their home stadium. Marc Guiu (18th), Moisés Caicedo (27th), Enzo Fernández (45th/penalty), Estêvao (45+6/penalty) and Tyrique George (48th) scored for the English, who benefited from an early red card against Amsterdam’s Kenneth Taylor (15th). Former Bundesliga professional Wout Weghorst (33rd/foul penalty) only managed to score the goal.

Sporting Lisbon also played in the majority for a long time and fought for a late 2-1 (0-1) win against Olympique Marseille. Igor Paixao (14th) put the French in the lead. Geny Catamo (69′) and Alisson Santos (86′) turned the game in favor of the Portuguese champions. Marseille’s Emerson (45th) had seen yellow-red shortly before half-time after a swallow.
