The Swedish champion received the prize from the hands of Novak Djokovic, winner last year. “I am incredibly honored to have won my first Laureus Award – said World Duplantis – because this is one of the most important prizes that we athletes want to win. I know well because this year I was at my fourth nomination and this shows that it is more difficult to win a Laureus than a gold medal of Olympic. Greatness of the caliber of Djokovic, Usain Bolt, Rafael Nadal and Lionel Messi. And my results have been recognized by them is something very special. Laureus Sport for Good’s work is priceless “.
