Real Madrid reports Bellingham’s signature – Approved by BVB

presentation on Thursday

After Borussia Dortmund published the agreement on the transfer of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid last week, which would cost at least 103 million euros, everything is now formally perfect. Los Blancos have confirmed the 19-year-old midfielder’s signature for six years, with Bellingham due to be unveiled at 12pm on Thursday at the Ciudad Real Madrid training ground.

With bonuses, Bellingham Real can even cost up to 133.9 million euros, which can make the national player not only the most expensive Madrilenian in history, but also the second most expensive Bundesliga and BVB departure. The records are currently held by Eden Hazard, for whom 115 million went to Chelsea in 2019, and Ousmane Dembélé, for whom FC Barcelona transferred 135 million euros to Dortmund, including all bonuses due so far.

Jude Bellingham: Wearing a BVB jersey “was an honour” – Watzke praises Real Madrid

In a message on the BVB website, Bellingham said goodbye to the black and yellow fans: “Thanks to everyone at BVB and to the fans for everything over the past three years. It’s been an honor to wear your jersey so many times, in big and small moments. Even though I look forward to my next destination, I will never forget the journey there. Once a Borusse, always a Borusse. All the best for the future. Hey BVB!”

BVB Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “We would like to thank Jude for three years of passion for Borussia Dortmund. It was a fantastic time together. Our thanks also go to Real Madrid for the always fair and constructive discussions.” Meanwhile, head of sport Sebastian Kehl said: “Jude developed very positively with us at a young age. He has now decided that he wants to make the move to Real Madrid now. We thank him for everything he has given us and our game and wish Jude all the best for the future!”
