According to information from “The Athletic”, Real Madrid have agreed with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jude Bellingham.
As the sports website reported on Wednesday, the Spanish top club will pay more than 100 million euros for the 19-year-old England international!
However, the contract has not yet been signed. The midfielder is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days. A confirmation of the two clubs was not yet available.
Bellingham’s departure after three years at BVB seems a foregone conclusion. Real Madrid was the favorite in courting the young star.
Bellingham switched from English second division club Birmingham to Revierclub in 2020 for around 25 million euros. With good performances, he increased his market value considerably. After Raphael Guerreiro, Mahmoud Dahoud, Luca Unbehaun, Felix Passlack and Anthony Modeste, Bellingham would be the sixth departure of the Bundesliga second. A high transfer proceeds for the Englishman could make it easier to find an adequate replacement.
“I think that we will reinvest about 60 to 65 percent of the transfer fees that we achieve in this period,” announced managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke recently in IMAGE at.
