Okay, maybe not literally shoot at your road users, but digitally. The Chinese car company Xpeng has called a new technology Road Rage Reliever Introduced during the launch of their latest model.

The new Xpeng P7 is equipped with a digital supply system. Drivers can ‘throw’ to other cars at the push of a button. This seems as if objects are being shot to other cars, but in reality this is only visible to the driver himself.

Xpeng CEO HE XIAOPENG calls this technology “a technologically controlled exhaust valve for frustration.” In this way, directors could express their displeasure in a “civilized” way without actually showing dangerous behavior.

Worry about safety xpeng p7

The idea may sound nice, but it also raises questions about safety. Experts warn against the risks of too many digital gadgets in modern cars, because this can lead to distraction behind the wheel. The Road Rage Reliever is part of what Xpeng calls “Technology Island”, a futuristic interior with smart technologies.

In addition to this controversial function, the new Xpeng P7 also offers other advanced technologies, such as an 87 inch wide augmented reality head-up display and an impressive range of 820 kilometers according to the Chinese measurement method.
