RB Salzburg sells Okafor to AC Milan – Small transfer plus

Red Bull Salzburg generates the next transfer income and sports director Christoph Freund, who will soon be moving to Bayern Munich, bags one of his last deals for the Austrian series champion. Center forward Noah Okafor is moving to AC Milan, as the Italians and Austrians confirmed on Saturday. According to reports from Italy, a transfer fee of around 14 million euros including bonuses should flow to Salzburg. The contract is valid until 2028.

The Swiss Okafor contracted a metatarsal book in mid-April. Its market value is currently 20 million euros. In the past season, the 14-time international played 15 goals in 32 games across all competitions. At the beginning of 2020, the right footer switched from Basel to RBS for 11.2 million euros, and the top club now has a small transfer bonus – also with a view to the approaching end of the contract.

Salzburg’s transfer income will increase to at least €75.5m this summer, which is enough for a top 10 place in an international club comparison – compared to €14.8m spent on newcomers like Mads Bidstrup so far. According to reports, Okafor was able to focus on the direct Champions League duels between RB and Milan.
