Raye has released a new song: “Nightingale Lane”. It’s the second single from the British singer’s upcoming album This Album May Contain Hope, out March 27th.
“Nightingale Lane” was produced by Raye along with Tom Richards. In it, the musician reflects on “the biggest heartbreak I’ve ever experienced.” The song is named after a street in south London.
“Somebody loved me once/ and someday somebody will again,” Raye sings on the track. “Like the way you loved me/ on Nightingale Lane/ although we never made it/ stranger, you showed me it’s true/ I’m capable of loving someone the way I loved you.”
Follow-up to “Where Is My Husband!”
“Nightingale Lane” follows Raye’s hit single “Where Is My Husband!”, which was released in September. The album will consist of 17 tracks, divided into four “seasons” – each side of the vinyl represents its own chapter.
“Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I think I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world,” Raye said in a statement announcing the album. “I want us all to say to ourselves that everything will be okay, and I will trust that the seeds I planted under the snow will sprout. I wanted to create something that would be a hug, a bed, or a soft place for the one who needs it.”
Last year, Raye delayed her second album after her car was stolen – including her prized songwriting books. Then in October, she revealed that the car had resurfaced – along with the songbooks. “It’s been a roller coaster ride, but what I didn’t tell anyone is that the police called me maybe two or three months ago and said, ‘We found your car,'” Raye told EE Official Big Top 40 From Global at the time. “Not only did I get it back – not a single thing had been taken from the car. All of my songwriting books were there, untouched.”
Raye’s big arena tour 2026
Last month, Raye embarked on a 51-date arena tour appropriately titled “This Tour May Contain New Music.” The tour covers Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. ROLLING STONE named it one of the most anticipated tours of 2026.
