A man was arrested on Saturday night after a collision at the intersection of the N270 and the Wolvendijk in Eindhoven. Three cars were involved in the collision, around a quarter to two in the morning.
The man was in a car that, presumably ignoring a red traffic light, crossed the N270. He became another car, in which two people were, full in the flank. That car then spilled over the road, hit a third car in which a family was sitting with young children and then hit the roadside several times.
Head injury
The car with which the accident was caused came to a halt in the middle of the intersection. The man finally arrested immediately afterwards, but after a while he reported to the police at the scene of the accident.
He had drunk. The police suspect that he may be the driver and cause of the collision.
Someone was in the car in which he sat. It was taken to a hospital with head injury.
Completely closed
The family, in the third car, was released with a fright. This car was considerably damage.
After the collision, the N270 was completely closed off from the Wolvendijk in the direction of Helmond.
