Rasmus Ristolainen and Philadelphia advanced.

The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first overtime game Cam York’s with a score of 1–0 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

The series ended with a 4–2 victory for the Flyers. Philadelphia already led the series 3–0, but Pittsburgh still got involved in the series. However, Kiri fell short.

For Pittsburgh, the result is certainly disappointing. It went into the match series as a preliminary favorite.

York slammed his bat into the stands in celebration.

As the result shows, the match was very close. Pittsburgh took the shots, but the Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar played another excellent match. He had a shutout, stopping 42 shots.

The Penguins’ experience was especially visible in the final set and overtime. The penguin flock didn’t hurry or make too many guarantees, but also played a brave puck game.

Advanced statistics also show that the match was very even. According to them, the Penguins even deserved to win.

Flyers’ Finnish defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen played in the match for a good half hour (30.12).

He succeeded in his task of completely blacking out the opponent’s power men.

When the Penguins players slipped into the locker room after the traditional handshake, a figure familiar to Finns sneered at the dejected Penguins team in the stands along their way out.

A person dressed as Santa Claus laughed and jumped as he celebrated the home team’s victory.

In the second round, the Flyers will face the Carolina Hurricanes, who defeated the Ottawa Senators 4–0 in the first round.

Cam York kicked off the entire sports-crazy Philadelphia party. PDO
