At high speed, the driver of an SUV drove into a tree on Yorckstrasse (Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg) on ​​Monday evening. Luckily he wasn’t injured, even though his vehicle was badly damaged.

On Monday evening around 9 p.m. there was a serious crash on Yorckstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg at the corner of Großbeerenstraße, when the driver of a Range Rover rammed a massive street tree at significantly excessive speed.

According to statements by several witnesses, the driver is said to have driven too fast. According to BZ information, an occupant was thrown out of the vehicle, but is said to be only slightly injured. The driver was not injured at all. The collision ripped off parts of the vehicle, including two wheels. They practically stuck to the tree.

Yorckstraße was completely blocked in the direction of Mehringdamm in the evening. The investigation goes towards an illegal vehicle race.
