The confrontation between journalists and public figures on social networks is not new, but on this occasion, the crossover between Marcela Pagano and Rolando Graña captured attention. The host, known for her strong presence in the media and networks, used Twitter to shoot the A24 journalistaccusing him of orchestrate media operations for the benefit of political interests.
In his message, Pagano stated: “It’s textbook. His specialty is operations. I experienced it firsthand by refusing to operate in favor of Sergio Massa. Graña (better known in the environment as ‘Rascando Roña’“) is a specialist in plotting lies at the service of his bosses, which is why he will never be able to work outside of Grupo América.”. Furthermore, he extended his solidarity towards Karina Mileisister of the president, who was also the target of Graña’s recent reports on A24.
Pagano reinforced his position by giving a “reuit” to a post by El Gordo Dan: “The mentally ill man from Graña is passing audios of Kueider to a certain Karina stating that she is Karina Milei when the audios are for Carina Ivascova delusional woman who has wanted to steal the LLA seal for years. “Afterwards they don’t know why the microphone monopoly ended.”
Meanwhile, The president “liked” a Translator tweetan official troll on social networks, who accused Graña of lying: “”We don’t deserve to be called “ensobrados,” said Graña’s asshole and the only thing he does is lie and lie. He says that A24 collected $534,600,000 in official fees last year”.
Graña has not yet responded directly to Pagano’s accusations or to Traductor’s accusations. However, public exchanges once again put into debate the role of the media in an increasingly polarized political context and the fine line between investigative journalism and media operations.
