Johnathan Jamall Porter, aka Blueface, was stabbed at a boxing gym and had to be hospitalized.

He was training for an upcoming fight at the fitness center in Reseda, Los Angeles, when a man entered the studio and started a fight with the US rapper (and boxer). A video of the incident shows how the two talked to each other and then Blueface hit his counterpart several times in the face with his boxing gloves. Shortly thereafter, the man beaten by the musician pulled out a knife – the video recording ends here, but Blueface is said to have been stabbed in the following.

The attack happened on Wednesday, August 23, according to Blueface on its Instagram story, along with the following information: “I won’t be able to fight on October 14th. […] I won’t recover in time.”

The stabber is said to have fled directly, as “TMZ” reports. The current state of health of Blueface is so far unclear, as well as the circumstances of the crime and whether lawsuits will be filed or when Blueface’s boxing career can continue elsewhere.

In 2018, Blueface released the music video for his track “Respect My Cryppin'” (feat. Snoop Dogg) and it went viral. A year later, his most successful song followed with the remix of “Thotiana” with Cardi B and YG, which landed at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2020 the debut album FIND THE BEAT was released.
