The British comedian and actor Russell Brand has not guilty Friday (May 30th) in front of the Southwark Crown Court in London in all charges raised. The allegations include a total of five crimes, including rape, oral rape, two cases of sexual assault and immoral touch.
Fire appeared in court on Friday morning in a dark gray suit and a wide -frequent shirt that showed his chest and several silver necklaces. With dark sunglasses and a serious expression, Katy Perry’s ex-husband stepped in front of the judge to officially hand over his plea.
The four charges against Russell Brand
The next judicial hearing – a pre -negotiation – is scheduled for May 20, 2026. The main process is scheduled to begin in June 2026. Until then, Russell Brand remains at large under circulation -free deposit.
The alleged crimes are said to have occurred between the late 1990s and middle 2000s. A total of four women accuse fire of serious attacks:
- A woman accuses him of raping her in a hotel room in 1999.
- Another woman reports on oral rape at a party that is said to have taken place in a toilet cabin.
- A third woman claims that Russell Brand tried to drag her into a toilet.
- The fourth woman explains that the comedian kissed her and touched her without consent.
“I was an idiot, but not a rapist”
Russell Brand decisively rejects all allegations. Already when the investigation became known in April, he had declared that he had never sexually attacked someone. At the beginning of April, a video of him was circulating in which fire moved into a position: “I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an idiot, but what I was never never was is a rapist.” His wild time had left behind since he got to know his current wife and changed his life.
The British judiciary will have to clarify in the coming months whether the allegations against him are confirmed in court. Until then, the presumption of innocence applies to Russell Brand.
