Rake header from Glynor Plet gives Telstar three points again

Thanks to a good header from Glynor Plet, Telstar won against FC Dordrecht tonight. In Velsen-Zuid, the game between two competitors ended in 1-0. It is the first three-pointer for the White Lions since January 23.

Possession and opportunities were mainly for Telstar. The first dangerous opportunity, however, was for the Sheep Heads. A free kick by Mathis Suray hit the post via the fingertips of Ronald Koeman Jr..

At the White Lions, Glynor Plet especially had opportunities. For example, a bet by him was taken off the line and keeper Liam Bossin saved twice on a header from the striker. Ozan Kökcü then had the opening goal on his shoe, but the midfielder saw his effort shattered on the crossbar.

Now it’s hit for Plet

Fifteen minutes before the end, the deserved 1-0 fell. From a cross by Rashaan Fernades it was now a hit for Plet. The captain came in front of his man and headed the ball through the inside of the post into the goal.

Telstar had to go back a lot in the final phase, but Koeman jr. kept his goal clean despite a few perilous moments. As a result, the Velsenaren can cheer again after six games without a win. Due to the victory, the North Hollanders rise to fourteenth place in the ranking.

Telstar setup: Koeman Jr.; Kruiver (Zakir/62), Molenaar, Aktas, Vlijter, Wolters (Blackson/62); Overtoom (Giovanni/80), Van Doorm, Kökcü; Fernandes, Plet
