Was without a club for 1.5 years
Coach Rafael Benítez is back in business and will be on the sidelines at Spanish first division club Celta Vigo. As the club announced on Friday, both parties have basically agreed on an engagement. The signing of a contract until 2025 should take place in July, it is said.
Benítez was last at Everton FC until January 2022, but had to leave after twelve games in office. Since then he has been without a club and has been traded at Leicester City and SSC Napoli, among others. Now the return to LaLiga is pending, in which he has already looked after four different clubs. At Celta, Benítez follows Portuguese Carlos Carvalhal, under whom he finished 13th.
