Yle Radio Suomi went silent for a moment on Saturday early evening, the radio host Olga Ketonen in remembrance of.

Yle reported on Saturday that the host known as Olga K died on Saturday morning in a hospital in Vantaa. He was 59 years old when he died. Olga Ketonen was Yle’s long-time radio voice and is known from, among others, Radiomafia and, most recently, Radio Suomi.

At 5 pm, after the news broadcast and sports news, the presenter Markus Turunen told the radio listeners about Ketonen’s passing.

– As we heard in the news, Olga Ketonen, a long-time member of our work community, journalist and radio producer, has died this morning. Olga was a wonderful person and colleague. We all miss him very much. On behalf of Yle Radio Suomen and colleagues, I would like to express my condolences to Olga’s family.

After this, Turunen announced that the channel will hold a moment of silence in honor of Ketonen.
