The match between FC Dordrecht and MVV has been temporarily halted in injury time due to racist expressions. After consultation between the arbitration and the clubs, the game ended with a gesture by the players against racism.

MVV lost the away match at FC Dordrecht 3-1. At halftime, the Maastricht team led 0-1, but after the break the home club turned that around. However, the venom was in the tail.

The match ended in an unusual way. Dordrecht’s Seydine N’Diaye went to arbitration because racist texts were shouted from the branch. There were two minutes left of extra time, but referee Martens stopped the game. .’Diaye walked off the field visibly emotional. After consultation, the players positioned themselves in midfield and knelt there to make a gesture against racism, after which the arbiter directed the teams to the changing rooms.
