Quique Sanchez Flores was appointed as the head coach of Sevilla, one of the Spanish 1st Football League (LaLiga) teams.


In the statement made by the club, it was stated that Spaniard Flores was appointed to replace Uruguayan Diego Alonso, who was dismissed at the weekend due to poor results.


Sevilla, which finished last in the UEFA Champions League Group B and bid farewell to Europe and ranked 17th in the league with 13 points, reached an agreement with the 58-year-old Spanish coach until the end of the 2025 season.


Flores, one of the coaches with football roots, has previously coached Getafe (Two terms), Valencia, Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Al-Ahli, Al-Ain, Watford, Espanyol and Shanghai Shenhua.
