Norway’s Queen Sonja has been hospitalized, says a Norwegian newspaper, among other things VG.
According to the magazine, Queen Sonja, 87, suffers from heart symptoms. He suffered atrial fibrillation earlier Saturday during a ski trip. For this reason, the queen has been admitted to Lillehammer hospital for observation.
– The situation is not considered serious and the queen is in good shape considering the circumstances, says the court’s press release.
Atrial fibrillation i.e., fibrillation is a heart rhythm disorder that becomes more common with age, in which the heart rate is irregular.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre wishes the queen a speedy recovery.
– I wish Queen Sonja a speedy recovery and hope that she recovers quickly and will soon be ready for new skiing trips, he told NTB.
